Bogota Institutions #1

Google 'things to do in Bogota' and Andres Carne de Res comes up in the top 3. Until I saw it, I couldn't really understand how a restaurant could be that big a draw.  But ACR is more than a restaurant.  Inspired by cooking and style in the poorest barrios, it's virtually a barrio in itself. Thousands of diners tucked into endless nooks and crannies are served by thousands upon thousands of staff (I hear the ratio is one member of staff per 3 guests, incl. security, theme actors and musicians as well as mesaros).  It's the Oktoberfest-Cabaret-Anjuna all rolled into one and multiplied. I couldn't decide whether it feels like it's always Christmas, or always Halloween.  

And the food is divine. Best steak I have had so far in my life.
